When I came across this recipe I instantly bookmarked it to give a try. It was so tasty and lip smacking. I loved it. My husband liked it too. I had it both with chapatti and as a side dish with some rice. It is a keeper recipe and I will be making it again.


Here is the recipe..

Serves 2-3

Ingredients :
Mushrooms - 1 cup sliced fresh or canned. I used canned
Onion - 1/2 medium
Mint Leaves - 1/2 cup packed
Coriander Leaves - 1/4 cup packed
Lemon Juice - 1 Tablespoon
Green Chillies - 1 or as per spice level
Pepper powder - 1/4 Teaspoon or as per spice level
Coriander Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Garam Masala - 1/4 Teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 Tablespoons
Hot water as required

Method :
1. Drain the liquid from the canned mushrooms and wash them.
2. In a bowl add mushroom slices and hot water. Cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.
3. In a mixer grind mint leaves, coriander leaves, onion and green chillies to a paste. Keep aside.
4. Heat oil in a cooking vessel. Add the ground paste, salt, pepper powder, coriander powder and garam masala and mix well.
5. Cook for 5 minutes on low flame till oil begins to separate.
7. Add the mushroom slices and cook with continuous stirring till the mushrooms are well cooked and are coated with the masala.
8. Add the lemon juice and cook for a quick minute.
