I love broccoli. I didn't know what broccoli was till I moved to UAE. I thought it was a green cauliflower at first. Then I read all about it and wanted to give it a try and simply loved it. I always have fresh or frozen broccoli at home. When my best friend made this broccoli recipe I wanted to try it out instantly. I made it the very next day and I loved it. I have to roast it on a lower temperature and for a little less longer net time as the garlic burnt and tasted a bit bitter. Otherwise the recipe is a keeper.

Here is the recipe..

Serves 1-2

Ingredients :
Broccoli florets - 30
Garlic - 2 cloves minced
Olive oil - 2 Tablespoons
Salt as per taste
Pepper as per taste
Parmesan cheese (optional)
Lemon juice (optional)

Method :
1. Preheat oven to 210C (I preheated and roasted at 230C and it was too high I guess, found 210C on a recipe on another website)
2. Wash the florets and drain all the water.
3. In a mixing bowl add the florets, minced garlic and olive oil and toss it well.
4. Sprinkle salt and toss again.
5. Add lemon juice if using and toss again.

6. Place the florets on a greased roasting or baking tray without overlapping.

7. Roast for about 15-20 minutes or till down and slightly brown. Have a close eye after 10-12 minutes
8. Add pepper and toss them. Add Parmesan cheese if using and toss again.

Enjoy roasted broccoli.
