I am a big fan of garlic sauce. I can simply dip my finger and lick the yummy garlic sauce  on its own especially the one from Al-Tazaj Grill in Dubai. I always buy 2-3 extra dip containers to satisfy my craving. When I found this recipe I instantly decided to try it. It tastes quite good for homemade garlic sauce. However the owner of the recipe states that it tastes even better the day after it is made so I will know the actual final taste tomorrow. Once prepared it stays good for up to one week in the fridge. I will definitely make this again.

Here is the recipe. .

Ingredients :
Potato - 1 small
Garlic cloves - 2-3 (more or less based on how much you prefer garlic )
Mayonnaise - 1.5 Tablespoons
Yogurt - 1 Tablespoon
Fresh cream - 1/2 Tablespoon or milk -1 Tablespoon
Vinegar or lemon juice - 1/2 Tablespoon
Olive oil or melted butter - 1/2 Tablespoon
Red chilli powder a pinch (optional)
Salt to taste
Tahini paste - 1/4 teaspoon (optional-store bought or homemade)

Method :
1. Peel and chop the potato into small cubes.
2. In a saucepan boil potatoes with 2 cloves of garlic and a pinch of salt till the potatoes are soft and tender.
3. Turn off flame, Drain the water and let it cool.
4. Add it to a blender along with the rest of the ingredients and blend to a smooth paste. Sauce consistency will be thick and sticky. Do not add any water.
5. Adjust salt to suit your taste.

Enjoy Garlic sauce..

Note :
Tahini paste can be made at home by roasting sesame seeds and then blending them to a paste with some olive oil.
Dry roast the sesame seeds till they start releasing oil but do not let them brown. It can be stored in the fridge for up to a month.
